The first step in the selection of a good training course for Project Managers is to clearly understand the role of the Project Manager as it is understood today. Project Management is essentially concerned with a one time operation as opposed to an ongoing operation. The distinction is seen by many as being insignificant and this misconception leads to not only poor selection of Project Managers, but also for poor selection of training courses. The IT training field is experienced a period of r...

Although both Six Sigma and Lean Flow have their roots in
manufacturing, it works just as effectively in service
industries. Much of the U.S. economy is now based on services
rather than manufacturing and many service organization managers
are wondering how they can achieve the tremendous process
improvement benefits of Lean Six Sigma to their service
organization. Many service organizations have already begun to
blend the higher quality of Six Sigma with the efficiency of

Myth 1: Marketing is a cost, not an investment
When you spend time and money randomly on marketing, then it
probably is an expense because you're not generating a return on
the resources invested in it. Many people make the mistake of
emulating the marketing tactics of large companies (such as
image advertising) that just don't produce good returns for
small businesses. The fact of the matter is that small
businesses have to produce BETTER marketing than large

To become an occupational health and safety professional you
must have educational qualifications and experience. You also
must pass certain written examinations. All occupational health
and safety specialists and technicians must go through on the
job and classroom training, to learn about the relevant laws and
inspection procedures.
The federal government and some other employers require that you
have a 4-year college degree in safety, or some allied subject,
to be eligible for some specialist...

Imagine the confusion if all McDonalds told their new franchise
owners was here's your restaurant, now go to it. Not one in 20
McDonalds locations would run smoothly. Owners wouldn't know how
to cook the food, promote the restaurant, or what to tell
employees. The mighty McDonalds chain would fall apart in no
time.
I agree, this example is ludicrous. But it is exactly what most
affiliate programs lay on their members. Affiliates get a link,
maybe a banner, maybe even a canned web page, but that'...

knowledge required for superior performance. This article
discusses ways in which OJT can be managed to ensure employees
learn the skills desired and perform at an acceptable level.
Introduction
On-the-job training is often seen as a way to ensure employees
are trained without hughe expense or with minimal disruption to
productivity. Surprisingly, many organisations simpl...

Project management is a very specialized and often complex task,
and requires more training than the average programmer or
executive might expect in very specific organizational tasks. To
meet this demand, professional groups such as the Project
Management Institute (PMI) were organized to set standards for
the training of project managers.
In general, to become a project manager, you need lots of
hands-on training. To be awarded the Certified Associate in
Project Management (CAPM), a project ma...

Historically, customer service was delivered over the phone or
in person. Customers didn’t have many choices, and switching to
competitors was cumbersome. Today, these methods are but two of
the many possible touch points of entry for any given
interaction. With all the options the Internet brings,
competition is literally a click away. If, as has been reported,
65% of your business comes from current customers, then in order
to stay in business, you best focus on winning the satisfaction
and ...
